Membership Events

General Membership Meetings 

General Membership Meetings are an opportunity to network and engage with fellow government affairs professionals. These meetings are held on a quarterly basis,  often include guest speakers and are hosted by WGRG members.


Policy Roundtable Series

These salon-style events are designed to provide WGRG members with direct access to Members of Congress and the Administration. Registration is often limited to 20 people or less, and these convenings are scheduled periodically throughout the year. 


Table Talk Series 

Focused on professional development and mentorship, the Table Talk Series provides members with the opportunities for capacity building and networking. These events are designed for those looking to learn more about the field of government affairs and are scheduled periodically throughout the year. 

WGRG Signature Programs

Tin Cup Awards

This annual dinner both pays tribute to individuals with a proven commitment to the enrichment of African American government relations professionals, and provides scholarships to underrepresented students interested in the government affairs profession. 


A Salute to the Hill & Administration

This annual event is typically hosted the Tuesday before the Congressional Black Caucus’ Annual Legislative Meeting. Registration is required, and this event is an opportunity to meet and network with fellow government affairs professionals and special guests.


Terri Grier Memorial
Scholarship Program

The Terri Grier Memorial Scholarship Program awards scholarships to minority students either entering full-time undergraduate studies or currently enrolled as a full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university.

The John & Georgette Chambers Memorial Golf Tournament 

This annual golf tournament is named in honor of John & Georgette Chambers. John was an original member of WGRG and one of its first Presidents. And following his death Georgette chaired the tournament and carried the tradition.


The tournament benefits the WGRG Foundation which offers fellowships to deserving college students looking to pursue a career in Government Relations.
